Guillermo is a dedicated martial artist born in Cali – Colombia  with over a decade of experience in jiu-jitsu, holding a black belt for the past three years under Joey Best, being the first black belt under him and having a jiujitsu Lineage:

Mitsuyo Maeda -> Carlos Gracie Sr. -> Carlos Gracie Junior -> Roger Gracie -> Nicolas Gregoriades -> Joey Best -> Guillermo “Macaco’ Echeverri.

His passion for the art extends beyond personal practice, as he has spent the last four years teaching and mentoring students, including leading specialized competition classes to prepare them for the rigors of real-world matches. Alongside his expertise in jiu-jitsu, Macaco has a deep love for Muay Thai and soccer, which further enrich his approach to training and coaching.
